Mission:
Our mission is to be an educational contributor to our communities
in terms of topics under the computer information systems. To fulfill
the responsibility of teaching and training the CIS students as a part
of CIS educator duties, the following programs are recommended to be
established as a guideline for the following causes:
- To promote educational and career needs of our students
- To provide efficient educational programs for workforce developments
in our communities in the 21st century
- For the future incorporation, advancement and development of our
academic curricula
- To be the foundation of future cooperative educational programs
- To help the students to be successful in planning their academic
development
- To provide clear and focused directions to our students’ studies
and career planning in the IT field
- To be the foundation for our departmental development to provide
Associate Degree and Certifications
History:
The Department of Computer Information Systems was separated
from the Applied Science Department and became an independent member
of Richard J. Daley College in 1998.
