FIRST SEARCH provides access to 14 data bases: ABI Inform, national and international articles on business and management;
ArticleFirst, an OCLC index of articles from the contents pages of nearly 12,500 journals;
ECO, Electronic Collections Online, full text of scholarly journals;
ERIC, journal articles and reports on education;
GPO, U.S. government publications, HealthInfo, health and wellness information for consumers, students, and professionals;
Medline, the National Library of Medicine's index;
PapersFirst, an index of papers presented at conferences worldwide;
PerABS, abstracts from both general and academix journals;
Proceedings, an index of worldwide conference proceedings;
UnionLists, OCLC's Union Lists of serials;
WilsonSelectPlus, full text articles in science, humanities, and business;
WorldAlmanac, World Almanac's reference sources; and
WorldCat, books and other materials in libraries worldwide.

EBSCO provides access to databases and indexes to locate articles that
have appeared in over 2,000 serials: newspapers, magazines, and journals and other information.
These include:
- Academic Search Elite
a multi-disciplinary index database that offers full text for nearly 1,850 scholarly journals covering the social sciences, humanities, general science, multi-cultural
studies, and education, including more than 1,200 peer-reviewed titles. Academic Search Elite offers full text information dating as far back as 1985 and is
updated on a daily basis via EBSCOhost.
- Business Source Elite
a business index database that provides full text for more than 1,100 scholarly business journals, including full text for nearly 450 peer-reviewed
business publications. The collection of titles in Business Source Elite provides information dating back to 1985 and is updated
on a daily basis via EBSCOhost.

Regional Business News an index database that provides comprehensive full text coverage for regional business publications. Regional Business News incorporates coverage
of 75 business journals, newspapers and newswires from all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States. This database is updated
on a daily basis.
- Newspaper Source provides selected full text coverage for more than 240 newspapers and other sources. This collection includes
cover-to-cover full text for USA Today, The Christian Science Monitor and The Times (London) as well as selected full text from more than 180
regional newspapers including: Boston Globe, Detroit Free Press, Houston Chronicle, Miami Herald, San Jose Mercury News, etc. Full text
transcripts are also included from Face the Nation, CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, 60 Minutes, O'Reilly Factor, Hannity & Colmes,
National Public Radio, etc.
- Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition
an index database provides nearly 600 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition
also features abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals. This database is updated on a daily basis.
- Health Source - Consumer Edition for information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences
and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. Health Source -Consumer Edition features searchable full text for over 190
journals including Consumer Reports on Health and Men’s Health, as well as abstracts and indexing for over 205 general health, nutrition and
professional health care publications.
- Military Library
designed to offer current news pertaining to all branches of the military and government, this database offers a thorough collection of
periodicals, academic journals, and other content pertinent to the increasing needs of those sites. The Military & Government Collection
provides cover-to-cover full text for nearly 300 journals and periodicals and indexing and abstracts for nearly 400 titles.
- MAS Ultra - School Edition
Designed specifically for high school libraries, this database provides full text for over 500 popular general interest and current events
publications with information dating back as far as 1975 for key magazines. MAS Ultra – School Edition also provides nearly 550 full text
pamphlets, 252 full text reference books, nearly 100,000 biographies, 76,000 primary source documents, and an image collection of 116,000
photos, maps and flags. This database is updated daily via EBSCOhost.
- Primary Search
Primary Search provides full text for more than 50 popular, magazines for elementary school research. All full text articles included in the
database are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles), and full text information dates as far back as 1990. This database is updated daily on
EBSCOhost.
- Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia
with over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.
- EBSCO Animals
provides information on a variety of topics relating to animals. The database consists of indexing, abstracts, and full text records
describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals.
- ERIC, the Educational Resource Information Center contains more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and
citations and abstracts from over 980 educational and education-related journals.
- Clinical Pharmacology which provides access up-to-date, concise and clinically-relevant drug monographs for all U.S. prescription drugs, hard-to-find
herbal and nutritional supplements, over-the-counter products and new and investigational drugs;
- Professional Development Collection
designed for professional educators, this database provides a highly specialized collection of over 500 full text journals, including more than
300 peer-reviewed titles.

There is no charge for this service, but a user may need to have an email account first.
Helpful hint! To include abstracts in your search results
click on the link to "Preferences". On the page that comes upunder format select
"detailed" then click on apply. Your search results will now include abstacts.
You may have longer results to scroll down but you won't have to open every
result page to see whether it has information relevant to your needs.
