Teaching
in any field is a challenge, but mathematics may be the toughest. We believe
that our Department of Mathematics is ready and has accepted the
challenge by offering a diverse set of undergraduate courses of mathematics meeting the needs of students in the first two years of college, by improving pedagogy and by continuous
assessment of student learning.

Statement
Daley
College Mathematics Department is committed to providing a wide range of
mathematics classes which meet the educational and career needs of our
students. We offer remedial courses to prepare students to begin college-level
work. We offer courses for students who are pursuing an Associate
Degree or a Certificate at Daley College, as well as students who plan
to transfer to a four-year institution. Our courses help prepare students
to study and work in fields such as engineering and sciences, technology,
business, and education. We design and implement practices which contribute
to the effective teaching of our client population.
