Our ESL students come from all parts of the globe, with almost 70 countries represented in a typical semester.  Students include professionals, such as doctors, accountants, professors, journalists, engineers, international business people and renowned artists, all of whom have come here to advance their careers; others are students planning for future undergraduate study and/or the TOEFL test, as well as new immigrants trying to adapt and succeed in American society. 

The success of ESL students is shown in the high number (50%) of honor roll and Dean's list students who are in or were in the ESL program.

Many graduates of the HWC International Student Program have gone on to advanced-level studies at universities in the United States, and professional success in arts, business, finance, engineering, medicine and other areas.
