There, but always changing. Financial Aid is dependent
upon Federal and State monies. The money comes with frequently changing
rules and regulations to which the college must adhere. Programs dispensing
financial aid frequently change. The amount of money available is constantly
changing, so the pool of dollars does not last forever.
For that reason, early application is better than late application.
There are four types of financial aid: grants, scholarships, work
study, and loans. The first two come with no repayment obligations.
Work study provides a student with the chance to earn money. Loans
must be repaid with interest.
Students must apply for financial aid every year. Students must make
satisfactory academic progress to be considered for financial aid continuance.
If a student withdraws or is withdrawn from any or all of his/her classes,
financial aid eligibility and/or the amount of financial aid received
may be affected. If the financial aid award is reduced, the student
may owe a refund to the college.
