Adler Planetarium Field Trip

FIELD TRIP:  Exhibits at the Adler Planetarium provide an excellent supplement to the study of astronomy.  Students who visit the Planetarium and submit a satisfactory field trip report will receive 10 points.  You will be a student representing Wright College.  Your behavior should be a positive representation.

PROCEDURE:  Attend the Adler Planetarium and either the Star Rider Theater or the Sky Show.  View the exhibits.  Take notes on these exhibits, normally two pages.  Have someone at the information desk STAMP YOUR NOTES before you leave.  A one-page written summary of your visit should complete your field trip report.  Staple your dated admission stub or receipt to your report.  This is necessary for receiving credit.

BY AUTO:  Lake Shore Drive to Roosevelt Road.  Metered parking and a parking lot are available near the Planetarium.      BY BUS:  Marine-Michigan bus # 146

EXHIBITS:  See exhibits on Astronomy around the original round planetarium building.  Take notes on what you see.

TO RECEIVE CREDIT for a field trip to the Adler Planetarium IT IS NECESSARY THAT YOU ATTEND ONE THEATRE SHOW.  Since it is too dark to take notes during the show, afterwards you should write down your notes.

Before leaving the Planetarium HAVE YOUR NOTES STAMPED at the bookstore or Planetarium office.  Keep your admission receipt.
