Customized Training 

Rapid and profound change is transforming the workplace.

Never before have workers been faced with this need to acquire the level and range of skills which will prepare them to meet and overcome the challenge of global competition.  Chicagoans must become increasingly adaptive and innovative as they develop stronger skills in every aspect of their work.

This transformation reaches from the board room to the shop floor.  In fact, front-line workers will be expected to have essentially the same broad set of skills previously required of only supervisors and managers.

Equally important, workers must have the opportunity to upgrade these skills on an ongoing basis.  If workers are to remain competitive, lifelong learning must be the norm for the post industrial workforce.

Business and industry must have trained and qualified employees within the workforce to produce a quality product for the consumer.  Yet, training departments within the company usually do not have the time nor personnel to meet the training needs of every employee at every level of need.

Wright College's Business & Industry Services was created for just that purpose.  We are uniquely positioned to become a partner with your company in training and upgrading the skills of your existing employees and preparing your new employees with the skills necessary to be successful in their new working environment.  Our training is high-quality, affordable and packed with applicable information, techniques and tools that will prepare you, your employees and your organization for present and future results.

Wright College's Business & Industry Services provides a full range of services, helping you analyze your needs, assess employee ability, and train individuals to meet your performance objectives.  Curricula uses company specifics and approved competencies to support company goals.

Range of Services Include:

  • Front End Analysis
    You can meet with one or more of our program development specialists to determine needs, priorities, options and and implementation plan.
  • Employee Assessment
    When the need for basic skills upgrade is indicated, either a standardized or customized assessment tool will be used to determine a benchmark for each employee.  A post-test is given to measure learning.
  • Curriculum Development
    Based on information and material gathered during the Front End Analysis, competencies will be established and curriculum will be developed to support company goals.
  • Grant Writing
    We offer assistance in every area of the grant writing procedure from the gathering of information to contacting the funding source.  We have experienced writers on staff to either walk you through or take the reigns of the procedure.
