(Prerequisite: Legal Terminology, Keyboarding I or 30 wpm typing speed; Word, Part One or comparable
knowledge). The student will learn to process and format a variety of law office document. Proofreading

knowledge of a variety of documents and legal formas including letters, pleadings, reports, briefs and

Legal Transcription *
(Prerequisite: LEgal Document Production and Word, Part Two). Legal transcription is the
activity of converting the spoken word into documents in printed form. Most law offices use
transcription tapes within the office because of the high volume of work and speed in production.
Upon completion of Legal Document Production, teh student in this class will use the transcription
macine and tapes to produce a variety of documents.
